GirlStrength Program

Assist with the Operations of WomenStrength and GirlStrength

We are looking for volunteers to help with the operations of these life changing programs. We provide candidates with work experience opportuniites, internships and can organize Capstone Projects through your school. You choose your hours and projects. We have partnered with WorkSource, the Latino Network, Portland Community College and Portland State University.

Are you a writer and do you want to use or develop your skills to help reduce violence in our communities?

We need volunteers who like to work in a team and can assist with grant writing and research. We provide candidates with work experience opportunities, internships, capstone projects and in the past have partnered with numerous organizations such as WorkSource, Portland Community College and Portland State University.

Description

The WomenStrength and GirlStrength Programs are violence prevention programs operated through the Family Services Division of the Portland Police Bureau. The programs offer free classes and workshops for men, women boys and girls.
