Great volunteer opportunity at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities! Located just 15 minutes NW of Central Denver, the award winning Arvada Center presents professional theatre, dance, music, and visual arts, as well as education classes for all ages. Do you enjoy working with children and share a passion for the Arts? We have current volunteer opportunites as an Arts Day Volunteer, working with school groups that come to the Center to enjoy an Arts Day workshop. This position meets and greets groups of school children arriving for an Arts Day event. The Volunteer divides the children into groups, and then escorts them to pre-determined locations to drop off lunches and coats. They explain Arts Day rules and ensure groups are at specified locations at pre-determined times. The Volunteer will move multiple groups at different times to different locations. The Volunteers ensure all participants are returned to the bus at the end of the session. Requirements: Must be comfortable walking up and down stairs, enjoy working with children as well as adults (teachers and parents) and have a ready smile! Shifts: weekdays during the school year. Shifts are usually Tues- Friday from 9:15 am - 1:15 pm (some Mondays may be available) and volunteers self-schedule for as many or as few shifts as they would like.

Since its opening in 1976, the award winning Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities has grown to become one of the nation’s largest multidisciplinary arts centers, devoted to all aspects of the arts and generously supported in part by the City of Arvada, the Scientific & Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) and Colorado Creative Industries. The Arvada Center is located at 6901 Wadsworth Blvd. and provides free parking for all its patrons.
