HEAF is seeking for educated professionals who are willing to commit to working with one of our students throughout their senior year of high school. The selected coaches will help guide and assist students throughout the college application and admission process. Mentors have the opportunity to truly affect the life of a young, college-bound student through this exciting and challenging time.
Academic Coach Responsibilities:
- Academic assistance in core subjects (Math, English, Science, AP, SAT Test Prep, Social Studies)
- Assist students with homework, projects, and test preparation
At least one semester
Once a week minimum, 4:00 - 6:30pm

Mission Statement
HEAF is an effective supplemental education and youth leadership nonprofit that works to help high-potential but under-served New York City public school students become high-achieving college graduates. HEAF identifies scholars in middle school and supports them until they are successfully admitted to four-year colleges through a variety of after-school, Saturday, summer, and youth development programs. In the last 15 years, 100% of our students have graduated from high school and 83% of our students have received a degree from college within six years or less.
