About Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto: Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto provides free and low-cost legal services to disadvantaged and underserved individuals and families in East Palo Alto, East Menlo Park, and the surrounding counties. CLSEPA delivers high quality legal services through direct representation, advice to pro per litigants, and community education. We assist clients with: immigration, housing, anti-predatory lending, loan modification, small business, and consumer law issues.
Our bilingual interpreters play a vital role in helping CLSEPA and volunteer attorneys assist Spanish speaking clients in immigration, housing, consumer law, small business and reentry across the Peninsula and San Francisco. Through this valuable work, volunteers are exposed to the many issues facing local communities today and get the chance to make a difference in their daily lives.
CLSEPA translators and interpreters are sent a list of documents and/or meetings for which translation and interpretation are requested. Volunteers can choose the types of activities they would like to work on based on their own schedules and their location.
