ORGANIZATION: Pacific Links Foundation

Pacific Links Foundation is seeking dedicated and energetic volunteers and interns. Volunteers and interns are essential to Pacific Links Foundation's programmatic and fundraising activities. We are also open to ideas and projects that will benefit the organization and help you enhance your skills. This is an unpaid position, with the option to work virtually. A minimum commitment of 6 months and 10 hours per week is required.

Tasks may include:

  • Develop apps driven by databases to support fieldwork for assisting human trafficking victims
  • Lead website revamp and updates, ensuring timely progress and completion
  • Take the lead on several projects, managing them from start to finish
  • Option to work remotely, or in-office if located near our office

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or holding a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  • Experienced app developer for web apps, Android, and/or iOS
  • Firm knowledge of HTML and front-end technologies (CSS, JavaScript)
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PHP
  • Experience with app development frameworks
  • Familiarity with website platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix) and website maintenance
  • Knowledge of database management and API integration
  • Basic understanding of SEO and website performance optimization
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to implement user-friendly designs and improve functionality
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment with strong communication skills
  • Able to volunteer for at least 6 months

Your schedule may occasionally need to align with the students' availability outside standard working hours, which can be discussed and coordinated with your supervisor.
