Upwards Scholars, a nonprofit located in Northern California, provides academic support ESL students so they can attend any of the three community colleges in the San Mateo Community College District (i.e., CaƱada College, College of San Mateo, Skyline College) in California. We are looking for tutors to work with our students on their ESL class assignments. Most tutors meet with their students once a week (60 to 90 minutes) to go over their class assignments. Since students will continue with their online learning, all tutoring session will be virtual (email, phone, text and video conferencing). Students and tutors work out a time and communication tool that works for them both.
