Relay For Life of Fauquier County is currently looking for devoted individuals to serve on the event leadership team for 2017. This leadership team is responsible for planning and executing the overnight fundraiser in June 11th, 2016 while also coaching and recruiting teams throughout the year.

By being on the leadership team you will not only help the fight against cancer, but you will meet others who are passionate about helping cancer survivors, raising awareness and finding a cure for cancer, not to mention invaluable planning experience.

Relay Leadership Role - Build the Fun Lead - Person who leads the volunteers that are involved in the day of event needs and are responsible for tasks such as ceremonies, logistics, entertainment, activities, Survivors and Luminaria.

Relay Leadership Role - Fund The Mission Lead - Person who leads the volunteers that are involved with any and all accounting and is responsible for online/ website needs, mission, sponsorship, and fundraising. (count money at meetings, day of event accounting coverage, mission moments at meetings, online postings via FB & Website, Sponsorship tracking/ coord., fundraising ideas and suggestions to help bring in more funds for Relay)

Relay Leadership Role - Bring the People Lead - Person who leads the volunteers that will help Grow our Relay numbers ( teams and participants) this will entail team recruitment throughout Rappahannock county. To initiate recruitment efforts from the community to attend and register for Relay and kick-off. Marketing and publicity among the community is also a part of this role.

ACS will provide training for each of these roles, so past experience is not required, but appreciated! The time commitment for any of these roles will be around 1-2 hours a week, with coordination around your schedule. Attendance at the overnight Relay For Life event in June 3rd, 2017 is an overnight event but depending on your role you do not have to stay overnight!
