- TSC needs volunteers to help guide teachers through the process of shopping for free supplies for their children. As a personal shopper, you will help scheduled teachers select free school supplies, using a digital shopping sheet on a mobile device provided by TSC. You will input the number taken in a column next to the number allowed. Exact dates are Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning September 12 - November 2, 2017. Shift is 3 hours, between 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM. This event is run almost entirely by volunteers. If you have a group that needs service hours and can work 3 hours between 3:30 - 6:30 PM on Tuesdays/Thursdays, this is for you!

Mission Statement
Our Mission is to serve children in the tri-county area in metting their educational and creative needs by providing free supplies donated by businesses and individuals.
Description
Teachers’ Supply Closet (TSC) provided 25,725 children from low-income families with free school supplies in 2015. This helps students succeed in school and eliminates the need for teachers to pay for the products. School supplies include Composition Notebooks (regular and primary rule), Copy Paper, Crayons (24 pack), Folders, Glue Sticks, Washable Markers, Hygiene Products (Tissues and Hand Sanitizer), No. 2 Pencils, Pink Erasers, and Scissors. Donations come from local product drives, and, because TSC is an affiliate of the national Kids In Need Foundation, other items arrive via transport truck. TSC pays for the shipping and uses volunteers to unload the trucks and display the supplies in its 2,850 square foot "store", in which teachers "shop" for free.
