Since 2010, Manos has offered the opportunity for native Spanish speakers to complete their basic education in Spanish with materials from the Mexican National Institute of Adult Education. Students work together and with tutors to finish modules in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies (in Spanish), eventually earning primary and secondary school diplomas from Mexico.

Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:30-11:30 AM or 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Tutors are asked to commit to at least 2 hours per week for the entire 16 week semester. Tutors must have advanced oral and written proficiency in Spanish (native Spanish-speakers preferred) and a high school diploma or GED.

It is an excellent opportunity for improving your Spanish skills or for Spanish speakers who wish to help others.

Manos de Cristo is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering low-income individuals by promoting dignity and self-reliance.
