The Financial Wellness and Care program’s mission is to prevent financial abuse, neglect and exploitation of adults 18 years of age and older with a disability
We are looking for volunteers who reside in the Castle Hills, Balcones Heights, Terrell Hills, Alamo Heights, and Converse areas
This opportunity will give you the ability to utilize basic financial management skills, communication skills, patience, and empathy
Volunteer assist in bi-monthly homes visits and delivery of cash allotment
Commitment time: 2 to 3 hours a month
Volunteers are required to have a driver’s license, proof of car insurance, vehicle, and undergo criminal background check
Spanish speaking is a plus
Volunteers receive on-going staff support and training

Since 1941 the agency's focus has been to empower individuals and families in need to discover and enhance their own resources, as well as develop viable coping skills that will improve their personal and social functioning. We provide services without regard to gender, race, creed, religion, disability, national origin, or socioeconomic status.

We provide over 25 bilingual and culturally sensitive programs in 19 counties throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio that empower individuals and families in our community to become self-sufficient.
Within the past few years Catholic Charities has expanded it services to the community by bringing other organizations under its umbrella, including Senior Community Services in 1999, Catholic Counseling & Consultation Center and Guadalupe Home in 2001, San Antonio Birth Doulas in 2005, and Guadalupe Community Center in 2006.
