Business Consulting Services (BCS) Team

Job Description:

PD & Strategy Expert ( Internal Title - PD Team Lead)-1

PD Job Purpose:

Leads function/Practice and reports to director

Responsibilities:

1) Lead and manage the division and projects within the division

2) Mentor and provide leadership for team members

3) Assign or advise Director to assign projects to volunteers based on competency and interests of volunteers

4) Program manage different projects within the division

5) Manage Competency Manager and Senior Associate(s) and communicate with them consistently on their progress, challenges, commitment issues

6) Based on PD roles and functions, suggest and support Team Lead in new project planning

7) Update Director/Team Lead on progress, issues or challenges

8) Suggest to Team Lead/Director areas of improvements and support the continuous efforts in process improvements

9) Report to Team Lead/Director/Board Team Chair

Desired Qualifications & Requirements :

• Prior leadership background
• Strong project management skills. (Candidates with PMP will be preferred.)
• A background in management consulting and/or non-profit management is strongly preferred.
• Ideal candidates should have experience in finance/ strategic planning/ marketing /human resources.
• Good listener and communicator
• 8 + years of prior professional experience
• Very committed to the team and the projects he/she manages
• Able to work well with the team, accept and resolve differences, promote positive team spirit
• Step in to support team lead or manage projects when occasions arise
• Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite

Commitment Required :

• Must be willing to commit 1+ year
• Meetings: 2 in person and 2 conference calls
• Time : Minimum 5 hours [ excluding meeting time ]
