Handy person is needed to help at our busy, temperature controlled warehouse, and to also help with deliveries to auto repair shop with our fleet vehicles. It's an active volunteer position that involves standing and moving. You must be able to twist, bend and lift up to 30 lbs. Working with our Logistics Director.
For insurance purposes, Volunteer must be at least 25 years of age.
Across from IKEA on Reed Avenue in West Sacramento. The BloodSource warehouse is not open to the public.
You would be working in a secure, air conditioned warehouse building. Floor mats to stand on for comfort.
This position is very flexible; pick your day and the hours you volunteering. Early mornings and late night available too.
You must be detail oriented and able to work independently.

Vitalant ("Vye-TAL-ent") is the nation’s largest independent, nonprofit blood services provider exclusively focused on providing lifesaving blood and comprehensive transfusion medicine services for about 900 hospitals and their patients across the U.S. Every day, Vitalant needs to collect about 5,300 blood, platelet and plasma donations to help save lives.
