Meals on Wheels People feeds at-risk seniors in your neighborhood. We rely on 500 volunteers daily to ensure this fragile population receives the hot, nutritious meal they need. Often times, it is our meal that allows them to avoid going to a care home. Can you help us fulfill our mission?
Meals on Wheels Drivers needed at our Thelma Skelton Center for Mondays to deliver meals to our homebound seniors. Shifts occur in two hour increments between 10:30am and 1pm.
On-Call Drivers also needed.
Center Helper needed Mon., Wed, &/or Fri. 11:15 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
Exercise Instructor needed on Thursdays from 9:30am - 10:30am
Other volunteer positions include Walk with Ease Leaders and Steering Committee Members.

The vision of Meals on Wheels People is that no senior will go hungry or experience social isolation. We enrich the lives of seniors and assist them in maintaining their independence by making nutritious food, social contacts and other resources easily available. Our organization is community based, emphasizes volunteer involvement and is financially sound.
Description
Meals on Wheels People is a nonprofit, secular organization that has provided seniors with hot meals and opportunities for health, hope and friendship since 1970. Each year more than 7,500 volunteers prepare and deliver 1.3 million meals to seniors in the Portland-Vancouver metro area. The loyal support of our volunteers combined with the generous financial contributions of our donors keeps the vision of Meals on Wheels Centers alive.
