Responsibilities & Role During Event

The hours before the Race starts will be the busiest for the Day of Registration Tent. We will need volunteers to help in the following capacity:

    • Help guests fill out registration forms and collect registration fees.

    • Assist guests with any event related questions they have

    • Assist guests who opted for "Ship To Registration" but did not receive their t-shirt and Race bib in the mail - this will take place in the Designated Solutions area in tent.

    • Please note some participants who pre registered paid additional money to receive a personalized bib. Please direct these participants to the personalized bib pick up area in the T-Shirt and Bib Pick Up Tent.

    • Restock the "In Memory of" and "In Celebration of" back signs continuously to ensure they are always on hand. Safety pins are on hand to attach signs to shirts. Markers are available for participants to write on the signs.

Description

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was established in 1982 by Nancy Brinker to honor the memory of her sister, Susan G. Komen, who died from breast cancer at the age of 36.

Today, the Komen Foundation is a global leader in the fight against breast cancer through its support of innovative research, meritorious awards, community-based outreach programs and its advancement of the life-saving message of early detection to millions of women and men. The Foundation is headquartered in Dallas, Texas.
