ourBRIDGE is a non profit after school and summer program serving K-5 immigrant and refugee children in the Charlotte are. We are seeking dedicated volunteers who love to learn and are open minded. Hours of operation for the school year are Monday - Friday 3:00-6:30 9/19/16 - 6/9/17. We need committed volunteers so we ask that you commit to at least once a week for at least 10 weeks. There is not a place like ourBRIDGE in Charlotte. You will fall in love with our kids and our purpose. Morning opportunities also available.

Based in Charlotte, NC our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, respectful environment for refugee and immigrant students and their families. A place where they can adjust to a new culture, perfect the English language and get the support they need to succeed at school and in life.

ourBRIDGE’s purpose is, through education, foster a sense of respect, awareness, understanding, and acceptance of all cultures, backgrounds and beliefs, among the communities it serves.
ourBRIDGE envisions a community where refugee and immigrant children won’t fall behind academically because of a lack of resources, encouragement, and English language skills. A community full of independent, confident children who have the tools to make for themselves a bright future. A place where communication between schools and families won’t be hindered by failure to communicate.
