If you love to cook come join us! We promise an evening full of fun and friendship. Our Guest Chef for a Dinner Program is a volunteer opportunity that all residents of The BridgeLine love. Come to one of our homes and show off your cooking skills. We have had guest chefs come from as near as Charlottesville and as far as Germany! A Guest Chef enriches our evening with great fun and excellent food. We’d love to have you!
The Guest Chef program is held in one of our residential homes in downtown Charlottesville, usually from 4-7pm. (Typically on a Saturday or Sunday) The chef (s) may use our fully functional home kitchen to cook, or may also prep things ahead of time. (Sometimes it's fun for our residents to watch the chef in action though and get a mini cooking lesson!) Once the meal is prepared, we all gather at the table and enjoy the dinner together while getting to know one another. We usually have a group of about 10-15 people, not including the chef(s).

Mission Statement
The Bridge Line is a non-profit organization with the mission to provide a family-like living environment for the support of adults with brain injuries.
Description
We foster social, psychological, and spiritual rehabilitation. Committed to an emphasis on the individual as well as to community integration, we utilize each member’s unique gifts in the day-to-day operation of the program and also organize outside activities of special interest.
The BridgeLine is a private, long-term residential community for adult survivors of traumatic brain injury. The staff believes that survivors' lives don’t have to be static. They, like everyone else, are still in the progress of becoming.
The BridgeLine dedicates their mission to serve adults with brain injuries who have had to adjust to a new normal, helping them achieve integration in Charlottesville, and in the process gain personal fulfillment.
Despite moments of struggle, life at The Bridge Line is filled with hope, tenacity, optimism, and joy. The scale of dreams may have changed for our residents but not the wonderful feeling when achieving them.
