Picking Produce

Volunteers enter grower's fields and pick the produce that is left over after the commercial harvest. The recovered produce is then given free of charge to the Palm Beach County Food Bank for distribution. The gleaning takes place on Saturday and Sunday mornings (January through Early April) for approximately three hours. Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the fields. Hundreds of thousands of pounds of produce are recovered each year to feed our hungry neighbors. You can put fresh produce on their plates with just one morning of serving. See you in the fields!
