Volunteers fil student backpacks with nutrishish food each Friday. Over 9o% of our students live in poverty. As a school we recognize the need to not only educate their minds but provide nutrition for their minds to grow. This program helps close the hunger gap that many experience every weekend.
Volunteers must be able to lift and move large tubs of food.

Description
Risen Christ Catholic School serves families who predominately live in poverty and are immigrants. The majority of our students hope to be the first in their family to attend college and break the cycle of poverty. We are located in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood of south Minneapolis and serve grades Kindergarten - 8th.
