Iowans are eligible for this opportunity
Through outreach, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops with our Imagine Energy Traveler (mobile demonstration platform, IRenew helps Iowans understand how natural and renewable resources offer energy alternatives to power our homes, businesses, schools, vehicles and cities. I-Renew is offering multiple volunteer opportunities in 2015 for youth and adults as follows:
- Qualify to win a scholarship for higher education
- Earn a Changers mobile solar charger
- Earn a certificate of completion signed by Don White - President of the I-Renew Board
- Meet some fun and interesting people
- Learn and have fun
- Be part of making renewable energy the primary source of energy in Iowa
- Abide by safety guidelines, keeping you and visitors safe
- Setup and tear down displays
- Pop pop-corn using power generated by the sun
- Pass out pop-corn to visitors
- Distribute information about renewable energy and energy efficiency programs in Iowa
- Collect surveys
- Have fun

Our mission is to make renewable energy the primary source of energy in Iowa. Founded in 1992, The Iowa Renewable Energy Association (I-Renew) is a volunteer-run non-profit organization. In addition to educational activities, we partner with other non-profit groups in the state to support renewable energy development.

Wanna lead Iowa toward a future where our primary energy sources are clean, renewable and putting Iowans to work? Volunteer with I-Renew.
Through outreach, demonstrations, and hands-on workshops, I-Renew helps Iowans understand how natural and renewable resources offer energy alternatives to power our homes, businesses, vehicles and cities. I-Renew is offering multiple volunteer opportunities for Iowans who
- Can commit 5-10 hrs a month to help fill one of our roles
- Understand the link between sustainability and long-term profitability
- Have a proven track record of producing results
