About

This is a highly-regarded volunteer position for MAMCF. Beneficiary Advocates work directly with our clients who are young mothers with cancer. Each serves as a liason, facilitating communication between the beneficiary and Program Director. The advocate's duties include communicating with the beneficiary, attending monthly conference calls, and participating in local events. The position requires less than 2 hours a week. Medical, social work, or therapy experience in the area of cancer care, is preferred as the position requires that you effectively and sensitively communicate with clients who have chronic and at times terminal illnesses from cancer. Timely written and oral communication skills are needed, while adhering to patient confidentiality policies at all times.

We are currently in need of a Spanish Speaking Advocate.
