Milk, eggs, bread and a little lunch meat and I can barely carry any more from the bus to my front door! And, that is without the bag ripping open on the steps of the bus! No, this is not a comedy routine, this is me shopping and taking the goodies home on the bus. You really can't carry much and it is exhausting. Would you help. All I need is one trip every two weeks and a little companionship when the timing is right.
Requirements to be a great volunteer include:
a desire to help others;
a pleasant demeanor;
a good reading/speaking voice;
average reading skills;
organizational or planning abilities;
a good driving record;
a clear criminal history;
access to a car with proof of insurance;
a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.
