Volunteer Your Way to a Great Day!
Help a person who is legally blind to manage their paper, mail and official documents. You will be a help and you can make a new friend too!

Milk, eggs, bread and a little lunch meat and I can barely carry any more from the bus to my front door! And, that is without the bag ripping open on the steps of the bus! No, this is not a comedy routine, this is me shopping and taking the goodies home on the bus. You really can't carry much and it is exhausting. Would you help. All I need is one trip every two weeks and a little companionship when the timing is right.

Requirements to be a great volunteer include:

  • a desire to help others;

  • a pleasant demeanor;

  • a good reading/speaking voice;

  • average reading skills;

  • organizational or planning abilities;

  • a good driving record;

  • a clear criminal history;

  • two references

  • access to a car with proof of insurance;

  • a minimum of $50/100k liability and $5,000 of property damage coverage.
