The Intake & Reception Volunteer is a crucial component of the success of Catholic Charities of the East Bay. This volunteer will staff the front desk/reception area at CCEB’s Oakland, Richmond, or Concord office, answer incoming phone calls, and have first contact with clients who walk in or call in to our agency. As such, the Intake & Reception Volunteer must be patient, polite, and helpful. Bilingual (Spanish) volunteers are preferred for this position. This is an ideal volunteer position for retired office professionals, students who want work experience in a human services office, and people who have the time to give back to the community. CCEB is willing to work with students and schools to provide class credits for this volunteer opportunity.
