Gladden Community House

  • 30 people are interested

*Gladden Food Pantry cannot accept/verify volunteers who are needing to fulfill court-ordered community service hours.*

Gladden Food Pantry is the 3rd largest pantry in Central Ohio serving 1,000 households each month! Our pantry is run with only 3 part-time staff members so we rely heavily on volunteer support to help us serve our community. One of the many services the Gladden Food Pantry provides is home deliveries to seniors and disabled residents who are unable to come to our pantry on their own accord. Every Friday we make approximately 50 home deliveries, 25 a.m. deliveries and 25 p.m. deliveries. The a.m. deliveries are made between 9am and 12pm and the p.m. deliveries are made between 12pm and 3pm.

We are looking for volunteers who would be willing to make deliveries one Friday a month or one Friday every other month. Volunteers could commit to the a.m. deliveries or the p.m. deliveries or both. Volunteers would be asked to use their own transportation and their own GPS capabilities to help us make these deliveries.

Age Requirements: 18 - Accommodations can be made for Ages 15-17 but the child MUST be with the legal guardian and the guardian must drive both parties. Wavier must be signed.

Due to the COVID-19 Crisis : We are not currently requiring seniors to sign for their box, however a resident has to be home in order to accept the box. Boxes are being delivered to porches.

**Volunteers are required to bring your own mask, Gladden has limited masks available.** Gladden can provide gloves.
