Museum docents are an essential part of life at the Cupertino Historical Museum. They open and close the museum, greet visitors, answer questions, lead tours, and sell merchandise from our gift shop. Docents typically work 2-hour shifts, and we ask docents to commit to at least 4 hours per month. Our museum space is roughly 1,000 square feet and features rotating exhibits on the history of Cupertino. Our museum is open Wednesday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm. To see current openings in our docent schedule, please visit: https://signup.com/go/bgfDYHv.

You must complete a 1 hour training before signing up to be on the schedule. Email: jennifer@cupertinohistoricalsociety.org for more information, or to schedule your training.

The Cupertino Historical Society was founded in 1966 to research and document Cupertino's heritage. In 1990 a museum was opened in the Quinlan Community Center to share that heritage with the community. In addition to offering rotating exhibits, the Society offers children's educational programs, a quarterly lecture series, and an informative newsletter.
