YESC is an innovative youth-led program that empowers students to take a hands-on role in creating a healthier environment in their schools, communities and region while nurturing a respect for diversity within the natural world. A large part of YESC programming includes environmental service projects that engage youth in hands-on stewardship and leadership. A YESC Stewardship Project Support Volunteer will provide support to YESC Staff as they facilitate service projects with youth, including setup, leading small project teams, and cleaning-up/tear down after the project. These projects are focused on empowering youth to make visible change in their communities, including habitat restoration that involves mulching, planting, removing invasive plants, etc. A volunteer in this position is important to ensuring that these projects happen smoothly and according to YESC logistical plans. Interested? Please email yesc@ymcaseattle.org!
