About

Volunteers are needed to take aluminum cans to recycling center for cash. This is a very successful fundraiser for the animal shelter, resulting in about $6000 per year of income. Each recycling volunteer takes his or her turn about once every two months, and it takes about 3 hours per turn. The recycling center, Berea Metals, is located on Eastland Rd., about 3 miles from the shelter. First time volunteers can make a recycling run with an experienced volunteer first to observe the procedure. This opportunity is great for people who believe in recycling and want to help animals too! Must be 18 years old.
