Description:

Deliver high quality one-on-one area-specific business consulting to WomenVenture clients as they explore their business potential and opportunities. Meet with clients directly at WomenVenture on a one-on-one basis to advise and mentor in a particular subject area.

Seeking volunteers in the following expertise areas: Legal, Marketing, Finance, Real Estate, Mediation, Human Resources, Website Design, Graphic Design, Sales, Insurance, Quickbooks. This list is not exhaustive.

Preferred skills & qualifications:
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in business or in a specialized field.
Relevant work experience in business or in a specialized field. (Examples include law, accounting, e-commerce, manufacturing, restaurant ownership, etc.) Years of experience required depend on area of expertise.
Excellent interpersonal skills
High level problem-solving skills
Ability to work with individuals of varied backgrounds
Commitment to WomenVenture's Mission
Business owners strongly preferred, not required in certain areas

Commitment:

Sessions are set at the consultant’s convenience and take place onsite at WomenVenture. We prefer a commitment of 3 to 6 months. The volunteer consultant will be provided with details about about open projects before committing to assignments. Cold calls between clients and volunteers are prohibited.
