Each year Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts holds events for the community. Family Art Sunday events take place on Sunday afternoons quarterly. Art at Rice Creek takes place on the second Sunday in September. Art opening receptions take place monthly. A holiday tea takes place each December.
At each of these events volunteers help greet visitors, assist with activities, set-up and take-down the supplies, and other various tasks. Volunteers are the glue that makes these events stick.
Special events volunteers can help at one, some, or all of our events. An email is sent prior to the events and volunteers can choose to participate if it works in their schedule.

Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts provides learning opportunities in the literary and visual arts, showcases visual artists in our galleries, provides a connection to the literary scene through our monthly reading series, and holds a variety of community arts events throughout the year.
