SOCKS needs board members! If you are a professional already active in the community and want to make a bigger contribution to animal welfare, consider becoming a SOCKS board member. You would be asked to assist with fundraising, make contacts in the community that can help SOCKS in various ways, and attend a monthly board meeting. We currently need members with experience in grant writing, legal matters, accounting, and marketing.

Our mission: To provide a healthy, no-kill care facility for cats and kittens awaiting adoption. We are a non-profit no-kill shelter dedicated to the felines with whom we all share our lives. We value treating them compassionately, with dignity, respect, and understanding. We care about their quality of life and strive to treat our feline guests as we would our own pets.
Description
SOCKS provides a caring, home-like environment, free of cages, for over 100 cats and kittens throughout the year. Cats with special requirements are cared for in an environment best suited for their needs. We provide advice, resources, and referrals throughout the community to find ways to reduce the numbers of unwanted cats and kittens being born, as well as finding ways to keep cats in their existing homes.
