RRUFF is seeking a high energy, organized leader looking to make a difference in the Rocklin community. We are in our 7th year as a successful 501(c)(3) non-profit and need help to take us to the next level.
If you love dogs, support veterans and their causes, and have the desire to bring us to prominence, we need you!
We are poised to become the gold standard not only for dog park management, but also for community involvement. The Healing Heroes program funds service dog training for Disabled American Veterans. Of equal importance is management of the RRUFF Dog Park located inside Johnson-Springview Park. If you are a hands-on leader, and the only reward for your hard work is being recognized for your accomplishments, we would love to talk with you.
We are a 100% volunteer organization serving Rocklin and surrounding communities. The Board of Directors meets bi- monthly. Your board time commitment would be 1-2 hours for the monthly meeting, preparation time, chair at least 1 committee, and attend events throughout the year as you are available.
Currently we need people to be responsible for the following committees:
Volunteer Program - Recruit, Train, Retain & Reward volunteers. Make volunteer assignments, maintain master list(s), record volunteer hours, plan volunteer recognition event(s)
Finance Committee &Treasurer - Maintain journals,manage PayPal account, maintain check register, pay bills, serve on Finance Committee and work closely with CFO. Knowledge of 501(c)(3) 990 taxes a plus.
Event Committee Coordinator - Oversee and manage events including administrative, work with volunteer coordinator, and handle all tasks required for a successful fundraising event.
We welcome any applicant who has served in the military, has experience with mental health issues, or has legal experience.
