We could use some volunteers for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival on Saturday, 8/25/2018 to assist in the ask for monetary donations, collection of non-perishable food donations and passing out our brochure to those that would like to learn more about our mission. Please help us feed and nourish others through your donated time and efforts. I need volunteers for the 11-2:30 p.m. shift and the 2-4:30 p.m. shift. Mission Statement
The Montgomery Area Food Bank serves the needy across Alabama through member agencies by soliciting, procuring and distributing excess food, grocery and household products.
Description
We are a private, non-profit organization that, since 1986, has been providing emergency food assistance to our neighbors in need. As a warehouse distributor of surplus, donated food, as well as USDA product and some purchased products, we distribute food to needy clients through our partner agencies, who work with us to eliminate hunger and its harmful effects via special programs. We currently serve 35 counties across Alabama.
