#RedKettleReason
Every person who has been part of The Salvation Army bell ringing tradition has a reason for participating, whether it is to help out your fellow community members, knowing someone who needs assistance, or having been in a situation to need help at one time yourself. What will be your reason for giving back this year? #RedKettleReason

It's that time of the year, The Salvation Army is ringing bells at over 40 kettle locations around Saginaw County. We ring bells Monday through Saturday from 10am to 8pm starting on Friday, November 08 up until December 24. You can sign up by yourself, with your family, or even with a group. Whether you can donate two hours of your time or you would like to sign up for an entire day, you can help raise the money to support your community all year long! Donations stay local.

Did you know The Salvation Army is one of the most trusted human service organizations and is committed to "Doing the Most Good" with your contributions, time and resources - $.85 of every dollar goes directly to programming/services.

We have thousands of shifts available, and our kettles are most effective at raising these essential funds when a volunteer is present, so we need YOU!

Get in the holiday spirit and spread some Christmas cheer!! Volunteer today! Any time you donate is very much appreciated and helps your neighbors here in Saginaw throughout the year. It's easy to sign up, just go to RegisterToRing.com and put in your zip code to see available locations and times and sign up.

Mission Statement

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination.

Description

Provides basic human needs of food, clothing, shelter, and spiritual assistance as a Christian church

At The Salvation Army, donating your time can go a long way towards helping your community. Throughout the year we provide many resources to those in need including food, personal items, clothing, toys, and bill assistance. During Christmas we are able to provide toys and food vouchers to thousands of families and individuals. Our major fundraising is done through our Red Kettle Christmas Campaign, otherwise known as Bell Ringing. In 2013, we were able to provide over 1500 vouchers for Christmas dinners and gave presents to over 2900 children, who would have otherwise gone without. For 2014, our Kettle Campaign goal is $275,000. We can only reach this goal with your help!
