Dog Companion volunteers are needed to walk the dogs currently housed at the Berea Animal Rescue shelter. Dog Companions also spend time with the dogs petting and playing with them, staightening up their cages and making sure they have food and water. This is not an opportunity just to pet dogs--the dogs need to be taken out of their cages and walked on the grounds or in the nearby Cleveland Metropark. Dog Companion volunteers must be at least 18 years old, no exceptions. Opportunities are available throughout the day, seven days per week.
