Zoo Crew volunteers are responsible for working in a variety of positions, including birthday parties, carousel operation, main gate admissions, and other guest services positions as assigned. They work with Guest Services staff, other volunteers and visitors. They activitely interact with Zoo guests sharing general Zoo information and creating positive guest experiences. They are also available to answer questions and will be trained to help with potential issues that could arise.

If accepted as a Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens volunteer, an initial volunteer orientation is required prior to beginning volunteer service. Orientation will last approximately one hour. Successful completion of an on-the-job training and introductory period is also required before full acceptance into the Zoo Crew position.
