Do you enjoy chatting on the phone with friends and family? Does it bring you joy to connect with and provide support to seniors in need of a friendly voice?

DAYS/TIMES NEEDED:
ONE or MORE days per week for about 1 hour - Calls are made Monday through Friday, between 9 AM and 11 AM. We are in need of a morning caller on Wednesdays and Fridays.

WORK LOCATION:
After Orientation, this is a remote position.

GENERAL ACTIVITIES:
Short telephone calls to offer assurance and cheer for someone in need.

WHO WE SERVE:
A short list of clients or "friends" who are homebound or who need social contact. You may be the only contact they have all day and they will love chatting with you!

After a short orientation and training meeting at our agency, you can make Telephone Reassurance calls from the JFS office, your office or your home, one or more times per week. We ask that volunteers usually call on a regular schedule, one day/time per week. You will have a list of 10 to 12 people to call, and you will get to know them and love them, just as we do! Then you complete a log sheet or let us know about your chats for the day, so that we can provide support to the clients, as needed. Your entire call list will usually takes about one hour to complete and then you have the rest of your day to feel good about helping someone in need.
