CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to advocate for children who have been removed from their home due to abuse or neglect. Our volunteers ensure these children aren't forgotten by serving as their voice in court. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer is the one reliable adult presence in their lives throughout the time that they are in the foster care system.
A child with a CASA volunteer is:
- Substantially less likely to spend time in long-term foster care.
- More likely to have a plan for permanency.
- More likely to do better in school
CASA is making a difference...one volunteer at a time...one child at a time.
