Child Advocates San Antonio (CASA)

Currently, we are working virtually (training classes, child visits, court hearings, etc.) to ensure the safety of active volunteers, potential volunteers, and staff.

CASA volunteers are appointed by a judge to advocate for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Our volunteers ensure these children aren't forgotten by serving as their voice in court. For many abused children, their CASA volunteer is the one reliable adult presence in their lives throughout the time that they are in the foster care system.

The role of the Advocate is:

  • To be a fact-finder for the judge.
  • To speak for the child in court, representing the child's best interest.
  • To continue to be the constancy the child needs during the life of the case, ensuring that the child's needs are met and the case is resolved swiftly and appropriately

CASA is making a difference...one volunteer at a time...one child at a time.
