Our Non-profit host 5 free fishing derbies a year. We hold them at different parks throughout Los Angeles. We see anywhere from 300-1000 inner city kids per event. Volunteers assist with everything from registration, lunch preparation and distribution, handing out raffle prizes, and event set-up and teardown.
If you enjoy working with kids these are great events. There is nothing better than coming out to help these communities and seeing the joy it brings the families.

The Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation 's mission is to engage youth with an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of fishing, with an emphasis on good sportsmanship, environmental awareness, marines sciences, safety and fun.

Each year, the Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundationholds free kids fishing events at city lakes and saltwater fishing trips throughout California.
The Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation uses fishing to build youths self-esteem and self-confidence, working to ensure that every child gets an opportunity to experience the thrill of sport fishing and a basic introduction in the marine sciences
The Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation is dedicated to the health and wellbeing of youth from our underserved communities. We want to make a difference in all children's lives by offering them access to health care and quality health care coverage. Helping to build a healthier community.The Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundation has a proven track record of bringing the youth of California together for an exciting day of fishing at city lakes and on the ocean. The Daniel Hernandez Youth Foundationhas been working with youths since its inception and has reached over 25,000 youths to date. Our lake programs gather over 250-1000 registered kids to each event.
