Make reading materials accessible to those who are vision impaired or who have learning differences, like dyslexia. Learning Ally is a national nonprofit that helps students and adults get the books they need to succeed in school and beyond. Readers are needed for our Washington, DC Studio in Friendship Heights, DC (on the Red Line). Sit behind the mike in a professional studio and use special software to record books for students across the USA. Team members serve day, evening, weekend hours. After a period of time volunteering from home may be an option. Ideal candidates will be able to read clearly and with expression. Attention to detail is important. No experience is necessary, and a training is provided. If a good fit, a six month commitment is requested.
