The Special Olympics Charles Russell Area (parts of Cascade, Lewis & Clark, Teton, Pondera, Choteau, Toole and Glacier Counties) is looking for a Public Relations Coordinator with a passion for creating inclusive communities of acceptance and respect. The Public Relations Coordinator raises community awareness of local Special Olympics events in the Charles Russell Area.

Special Olympics is a global movement of volunteers who want to improve the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. Through coordinated media outreach efforts, the Public Relations Coordinator guarantees the next generation of community inclusion.

Volunteers must be eager about developing relationships and interacting with local media outlets such as radio, television and print through interviews, press releases and creation of local marketing materials. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as well as access to a laptop or desktop computer. Training for the position will be provided, along with samples of previous public relations materials. Time commitment will vary throughout the year depending on events.
