ORGANIZATION: Friends of the Palo Alto Library

Help us and help others by monitor and locate non-profits who need free used books. With 40,000 books in our sales rooms, and more than 10,000 additional books arriving each month, we'd like to expand our giveaway program of unsold books to non-profits. We already donate over 200 bags of books each month to non-profit hospitals (for patient waiting areas), Native American tribes, public schools, a rural library, a food closet, a resale project run by low-income youths, and educational efforts in foreign countries. For many non-profits, these books provide learning opportunities and great enjoyment for those who cannot afford to buy books. But with so many items coming to us all the time, we're looking for someone to locate additional non-profits that can use these wonderful books.
