This is an outstanding volunteer opportunity to become the lead volunteer coordinator of our highly successful 16th Annual San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival in March 7-10, 2019, taking place at Cowell Theater in San Francisco.
Now in it's 16th year, the Film Festival hosts over 2500 attendees, screens 40 plus films and uses over 90 volunteers. We screen some of the most outstanding ocean-inspired films to increase public awareness of the environmental, social, and cultural importance of marine ecosystems and foster a spirit of ocean stewardship.
The Volunteer Coordinator oversees all aspects of the volunteer program for the 4 day festival. Including, setting up online sign up, monitoring head count by program, writing volunteer guidelines, managing volunteers at event, and working with IOFF management on general event needs. This is a great position to hone your organizational and management skills in a fun nonprofit environment.
This position will ideally start between Nov-Dec'18 with pre-event prep and setup. The coordinator must be available to work the entire weekend event March 7-10, 2019. The Volunteer Coordinator must have great organizational skills, preferably with some experience in event/festival planning and management. Additional skills; organized, outgoing, proficency in English, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs.
Help us put on the best film festival in the Bay Area in March 2019!
