During these uncertain times, how can we help?

"Aging-in-place" allows our seniors to remain in their own homes. However, our seniors are also aging out of the ability to drive themselves to their medical appointments and to the grocery store. Volunteers are needed to provide one-on-one individualized services, free transportation to doctors and clinics, to pick up prescriptions, to go grocery shopping or to food banks, and to accomplish other transportation-dependent needs. Volunteers have also assisted with minor household repairs, light home management, and simple yard work. Our volunteers can also provide companionship visits and offer telephone reassurance.

RSVP's mission is to provide opportunities for individuals ages 55 and above, to engage in service that addresses the nation's educational, public safety, environmental, and other human needs to achieve direct and demonstrable results and to encourage all seniors to engage in such service. In doing so, RSVP will foster civic responsibility, strengthen the ties that bind us together as a people, and provide educational opportunity for those who make a substantial commitment to service.
RSVP is a gateway for volunteerism in the community. RSVP provides many free benefits including free volunteer insurance, learning opportunities, and volunteer recognition.
We'll work with your schedule.
