Kinship United is a worldwide Christian rescue operation headquartered in Rolling Meadows, IL. This is a volunteer position that thrills the person who 'just knows’ this is what God would want them to do.
You can have an incredible impact on the lives of orphans and widows. If you are a digital detective who would love to scour up information to help us rescue refugee children who don’t have anyone to care for them, come on board. You’ll be using a database of foundations to find just the right ones to help us with medical issues, education, child rescue, emergency response, and all the things our rescue teams to give these lost kids back their childhoods. Google will be a treasure trove of ideas of how you can find people and resources. You don’t have to do this, but if you can get on the phone and meet some of the people, we’re all up for relationships.
We are looking for someone to work with us for a good four months, approximately 15-20 hours per week in our Rolling Meadows office.
- Research foundations by various criteria using Foundation Search and Foundation Center online and Google.
- Enter foundation information into Salesforce database.
- Call foundations to verify foundation information and/or gain additional information.
Training will be provided for all of the listed databases, but experience and knowledge of fundraising and grant writing is a plus.
