Episcopal Community Services (ECS)
ECS helps homeless and very low-income people every day and every night obtain the housing, jobs, shelter, and essential services each person needs to prevent and end homelessness.

Next Door Shelter (1001 Polk St.) is one of the two largest 24-hour emergency homeless shelters operated by Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco. Combined with The Sanctuary, another emergency shelter on 801 8th Street, we house 535 adults every night and provide residents access to meals, mental health services, housing support groups, and medical assistance.

Volunteers -- individuals to a group of up to 10 -- are needed to help serve meals in our shelters to participants experiencing homelessness.
