Friend to Friend America (FTFA) is working to change that one friend at a time. "Since 1974, we have been mobilizing volunteers to visit one on one with lonely and isolated seniors and veterans. How can you help? Sign up with us and we will get you started. You will visit one resident who lives in a local nursing home, assisted living facility, or adult family home. Volunteers are asked to visit a couple times a month at their convenience.
Our mission is to recruit, educate, and support our volunteers for the purpose of providing a Friendly Visitor for lonely seniors and veterans in need of a friend. Having a personal visitor relieves feelings of loneliness. You can make a difference. You can brighten their world. We are looking for enthusiastic, compassionate volunteers dedicated to establishing a friendship with a special Senior.
