Enjoy shopping? Volunteer Shoppers Needed for Seniors. Walk with purpose, gain friends and help people over 60 yrs old maintain their independence. Fill orders at the grocery store for about 4 hours twice per month, or on a weekly basis.
Volunteer Shoppers fill individual grocery orders during a shift at one of three Cub Foods locations (Bloomington, Maplewood, or St. Anthony). Shopper shifts begin at 6AM and end about 10AM, Tuesday-Friday. Volunteers can choose to help once a week, or once every other week. Volunteers do not pay for groceries nor do they deliver them to clients.
Six month time commitment required; we can accommodate snowbird, summerbird, vacation, and other schedule changes. Volunteers aged 16 or 17 must be accompanied by an adult volunteer while shopping. The adult must also register as a volunteer.
Store To Door delivers peace of mind for seniors and their caregivers. Our volunteer-based shopping and delivery service gives seniors personal, reliable access to their choice of food and household essentials, so they can continue to live in their own homes. Visit www.storetodoor.org
