San Francisco City Guides is looking for volunteers to give our famous historical neighborhood walking tours. As the official ambassadors of San Francisco, locals and visitors love our volunteers and the stories they share.
But it's not just about history! Since 1978 our free walks have created something far more important, a "sense of place". Due to our city's changing demographics our impact is crucial!
Through our programs we...
- spur involvement within the community
- help people create neighborly bonds
- get people to be involved and to enjoy where they live or work
- create opportunities for locals to interact more with their surroundings
- foster a safe environment for all
