There are three different volunteer opportunities in the therapeutic riding program: side walker, horse leader, and equipment manager.

The team works best if everybody is trained in all positions, but preferences will be taken into account. Training is provided. Experiences with horses is helpful, but not needed!

Dates: Our needs vary slightly with each session. Lessons take place Tuesday evenings and on weekends.

We serve children and adults with a variety of disabilities. Some people are independent riders with mild impairments, while other riders are totally dependent on the volunteers to hold them onto the horse and help them follow simple directions.
