The volunteer Group Fitness Instructor is responsible for teaching group exercise classes of their choice, while being energetic and fun, responsive to memebrs and guests by offering assistance and educating members on safe and correct use of any added equipment. This person also answers fitness and wellness related questions.
About Urban Perform:
Founded in January 2012 as a local nonprofit gym, we work to improve the health of families in underserved communities by promoting quality nutrition and active lifestyles. We partner with local organizations to decrease rates of obesity, cardiovascular disease and diabetes; thus, creating a health conscious change in the community. We provide free fitness and nutrition programs for kids as well as $2 classes in various formats for adults including circuit training, Spin, Zumba, Dance fitness classes, Yoga and many other classes. We currently serve the English Ave, Vine City and Washington Park neighborhoods on the Westside of Atlanta.

Our goal is to create a safe place that promotes physical health, contributing to the emotional, economical and spiritual health of the neighborhood. We use exercise to promote UPward movement for the next athlete, the over-weight, the single parent, the elderly, the family, the kids on the corner and those looking for a place to belong.
