Spay and Neuter Kansas City is seeking volunteers who would be willing to help TNR (trap, transport (for spay/neuter) and return) feral cats. Many of KC's communities are overrun with feral/community cats. The most effective means to addressing this issue is humanely trapping, neutering and returning the cats.
Training is provided. Transportation is required, though opportunities to car pool are common. Ideal volunteers would have some experience with animals, be willing to share education and information with pet owners in the community, and be willing to work with feral cat colony caretakers to schedule TNR.
Trapping occurs mostly on weekday evenings.
